Tessa had been anxiously counting down the days until her birthday. 
She decided she just wanted a family party with dinner on the boat. And mallard ducks was the theme she chose to celebrate.
Yes, MALLARD DUCKS.
We watched The Migration Movie awhile ago, and she absolutely loved it and became obsessed with mallards. 
This girl never disappoints with her uniqueness.
She has also been asking for a “desk like Grace’s” for years. 
I know it’s hard to tell, but there was a desk under those tablecloths.
We spent the day doing all her favorite things: 
cruising around with American Girl dolls, 
picking/eating strawberries 
swimming, 
eating popsicles, 
getting a visit (& presents!) from Grandma, 
building a new lego set,
eating hot dogs and vegetables on the boat, 
tubing, 
and eating cake with a mallard duck on top.
