A little bit of what we’ve been up to…
Claire has been getting ready for track season (which has now started). During the cold winter months, she would get up early and train with a friend of ours before school. Now she’s at track practice every day, and her track meets start this week.
There’s also been a lot of After Prom events and whatnot going on, like running this 7 am concession stand shift. 😴
Max is driving.😳 He has his school permit, and can drive himself to/from school, sports, or work. He is loving this freedom, and especially loves being able to drive himself to and from golf. He’s on the golf team this year instead of track and he LOVES it.
He also drives the occasional tractor.
Grace did AAU volleyball this year, and really loved playing. One of her favorite moments was playing her bestie, Maggie.
They’re the sweetest and had so much fun being at a tournament together.
Grace’s team did very well, and made it to state. We went down the night before, and then had a looooooooooooooooooooong day of volleyball.
One of our favorite things from the tournaments was “getting clipped”. You decorate clothespins with encouraging words and then during your break time you go around clipping people or bags. They have so much fun doing this and I absolutely love it! The girls would get so excited when they got clipped, even when it’s dangling in their hair.
She also participated in the 5/6 school operetta as a news reporter and loved it.
Tessa had a big day at Mayo full of some hard appointments.
She had an hour long ultrasound of her leg veins that made her dizzy and nauseous, an X-ray (that was her favorite one because it was quick and painless), and a 4 hour long MRI with sedation, which continues to be her worst enemy.
BUT, she got a new kitty named Moonlight so all is forgiven.
The following day we met with “The Big 3”, as we call them. These ladies have been with her through it all, and we could not love them more. They are very happy with how Tessa looks, but do see some growth in her cysts which will eventually need sclerotherapy….but that requires sedation, so we’re going to continue to hold off for a bit longer. Her affected leg is longer than her other leg, but not anything we need to worry about right now.
We celebrated by going to the play place at Chick-fil-A,
and then headed home and showed Moonlight around.
Love these kiddos and all that they’re up to! But, time could slow down just a tad…
They are so busy but loving every minute!
Looks like lots of fun:). Glad you guys are all good:)
