The past several years during Christmas, the Florida sunshine has beat down on us and covered us in warm, 70+ temperatures. This was not the case this time around. This year the weather was all over the place: some days were downright chilly, some days the sun would tease us during the morning before completely disappearing behind thick clouds within minutes, some days started out totally cloudy/almost rainy looking and then the sun would break through, and then a few days were just beautifully warm and sunny. Did any of us really care, though? No. The beach was still beautiful, the pool was still warm, and we were still away from home and enjoying time with family and friends. It also helps that kids just really don’t seem to have feeling in their bodies and can jump from the hot tub to the pool without hesitation when it’s 63 degrees out. Regardless of the weather, every day was filled with….
sand digging,
ocean exploring,
ice cream eating,
sand castle creating,
sports playing,
creative swimming,
beach hanging,
seagull avoiding,
game playing,
golf practicing,
and memory making.
