There’s a long walking path that goes right in front of all the resorts in Ko Olina, and most mornings Ben would go for a run and when he got back I would head out for a walk. And it was spectacular every single time.
Then we would do breakfast followed by more beach time and sunshine.
Aulani has a snorkeling reef in the middle of the resort. It’s chilly water, just like the ocean, but without the fear of being in waves or the big ocean or an unexpected eel coming at you. In other words, a perfect snorkeling situation in my books. 😏 3 out of 4 kids LOVED snorkeling. Claire liked seeing the fish, but didn’t love the idea of fish touching her.
There are view windows on the reef as well, so I could capture pictures and videos of the kids swimming under the water.
You can come and go as you want, so they did it a few times.
We did the slides and lazy river over and over and over before heading back to Monkey Pod for dinner.
This kalua pork, pineapple, jalapeño, and green onion pizza y’all…..🤩
The next morning Ben and Max left early to go hiking with our friend Keith. Meanwhile, the girls and I had some Mickey donuts on the balcony.
While the boys were off doing crazy things like this, we had an appointment to make our own Mickey ears.
And then we ran into Goofy.
Ben and Max safely returned, so we headed out to do more of our favorite things.
Including a visit with Max and Mickey.
That night we went to the luau at Aulani.
And we loved it ALL.
On our last day we made sure to do everything one more time: the beach, the slides, the pools, and a special character greet.
And then, sadly, it was time to head back home.
We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Until next time, Hawaii! 🤙🏼
