Happy February! If you have kids, here’s a little idea for you for this month:
Each night, write something you love about them on a heart and hang it on their door. My kids absolutely LOVE this.
Onto life lately. I feel like lately most of my days have been spent driving back and forth to Mayo. A lot of days have been spent that way, but we’ve also had a lot of fun at home in between.
We finally got a snow day a couple weeks ago which provided us with a decent amount of snow that will stick around for awhile. I love having snow on the ground- if it’s going to be cold, then I want snow. Otherwise what’s the point of winter? The kids love playing in it and it provides so many fun things to do outside.
Our backyard hockey rink is perfect right now and I love being back there. With hot hands in my gloves of course.
We’ve also consumed a lot of hot chocolate.
And have had some sweet, snuggly moments. They almost make me forget about how frustrated I was a half hour ago when they were arguing nonstop. Almost.
I’ve taken Tess to school a few days here and there. Her awesome teacher lets me stay with her to empty her drain/ keep an eye on her drain/ help her go to the bathroom. I also get to do fun things like man the snow cone station, do read alouds, and watch Tess play with her friends. She loves being back in school, so we try to go whenever we can.
Life is challenging right now, but God gives me moments like these all the time to just pause, take a breath, and enjoy.

I want a (slow) ride on the toboggan. Looks like lots of fun between the visits to Mayo❤️

I’m sure Tessa is thrilled to have school days!
I recognize where that big snow fort is! Think it will be melted by spring?!!
