Happy March! This is our fourth year trying to catch the sneaky leprechaun that taunts Mrs. Landers’ Pre-K classroom. We’ve been unsuccessful with our previous traps, so maybe Tessa’s is the one that finally does it. She’s not convinced, however. We read Pete the Cat and the Great Leprechaun Chase, and Pete had a really hard time catching the leprechaun in the book, causing Tessa to doubt her abilities. But she still loved making the trap and thinking there’s a *slight* chance she might just catch him.
We went for a different approach, since these three traps didn’t pan out:
Claire still holds the trophy for being the most disappointed that she didn’t actually catch the leprechaun; lots of tears were shed. Thankfully Tess seems to be more prepared for this outcome.
