Friday Favorites

Favorite picture:

We’re going to Hawaii in March and the kids are beyond excited. So much so that they took a little “pre-trip” to Hawaii in our house. Complete with packed bags, a long airplane ride, the beach, and even a luau. Also note the seagulls hanging from the balcony. When Grace commits to a theme, she goes all in.

Favorite kid quote:

Max, when I ask him how school went: “It was good, everything went according to the plan.” He has a simple plan of how he’d like his day to go, and lately everything has been keeping in accordance with his plan.

Favorite food:

There is nothing like a bowl of hot soup on a snowy day, amiright? I made this one this week and it received the stamp of approval from every member of the family. In other words, it’s miracle soup.

Favorite verse:

“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12

Favorite moment:

Even as an adult, it’s so exciting to wake up to a text that says school has been cancelled and look out the window to see everything covered in several inches of snow. I. LOVE. IT. Also, waking up to a text is 1,000x better than anxiously watching the scrolling list of schools on the bottom of the tv screen.
