As I mentioned in this post, Tessa’s current room has been the nursery for all four of our kids. I painted it when I was pregnant with Claire, and it remained that green color for each and every child. I feel like it didn’t look quite this bad in person? 🤷🏽♀️ Regardless, I knew I would redo the room as soon as Tessa outgrew the crib and changing table system. Which was a bittersweet day. This was the day I started. First I ripped off all the wood trim, and then painted the walls in Olympus White by Sherwin Williams. Tessa absolutely hated that Ikea chandelier, because it made “spiders” on her walls. After I took it down Ben said he was glad to see it go- apparently he hated it too. We all make mistakes, people.Fresh paint, a new light, some updated trim, and a few new decor pieces later- Tessa’s big girl bedroom is complete. I got the floral wall decals here, and couldn’t be happier with them. They were so easy to put on the wall, and I haven’t had any issues with them peeling. That sweet sign is from here, and is absolutely perfect for Tessa. The bedding is from here, and with the zippered sides she can make her bed all by herself. The next project to tackle was her bathroom. It has a long wall that I knew would be perfect for board and batten. After a fresh coat of paint and new baseboards/trim, I started on the board and batten. It’s so fresh and crisp, and I’m happy to finally have some character on that long wall. I may decide to paint the board and batten, but for now I’m enjoying the light and bright color. Thanks to Corona and cold weather, another item has been checked off the to do list. And Tess couldn’t be happier with her updated space.
Onto quarantine week 6!

Thanks! Those bathroom rugs were just what I was looking for. And to be honest, I was sort of impressed with my skills too. 😏😂
