I have no idea how it happened, but we now have a teenager.
Claire has mixed feelings about being a teen. She likes having independence from time to time, but she also wants to stay a kid forever. She likes being able to fit into my shoes and clothes, but she also still loves wearing her horse t-shirts. She likes going off with her friends, but she also still loves just being with her family. And I love that about her.
It really doesn’t seem that long ago that we were bringing this tiny pink bundle home from the hospital in the backseat.
And now here she is- sitting up front, chatting, and working on a crochet animal like the sweet old soul she is. 😉
She’s had some pretty fun birthday parties. Everything from Curious George to Dr. Seuss to Princesses, Doc McStuffins, Frozen, puppies, a luau, kitties, Harry Potter, and horses.
This year she just wanted a sleepover with her best friends,
and a few Dude Perfect touches. 😏
They swam, they went tubing, they made movies, they played games, they watched a movie, they stayed up late, they swam, drove the jet ski, and tubed some more. And she said it was the best birthday ever.
