Last week we celebrated my mom’s birthday.
She received some beautiful handmade gifts
And some non-handmade gifts.
While the kids were in school this week we finally took her out for a spin.
And we quite literally spun in circles.
We were laughing so hard we were crying. My mother-in-law witnessed the whole thing from her house, and I can’t believe she didn’t record our unintentional crazy show.
After our very circular river ride, my mom decided to read the manual, where realized she hadn’t attached the skeg on the bottom of the kayak.
That skeg was a game changer. Trip #2 went a lot better, and we actually went in a straight line. Tess joined us and occasionally paddled. But mostly just did this.
