Grace had her spring music concert and then a reader’s theater performance. She was pretty excited about both events, although she was really hoping for a solo. Which cracks me up, because she used to be this kid: crying or hiding behind the poinsettia while on stage:

Not anymore! Girlfriend was striking all the poses before her concert.

Apparently her first grade class is full of outgoing kiddos, because every single one of them wanted a solo. In order to accommodate everybody, they each stood at the microphone in groups of four- so everyone had a little solo.

Even though she was excited, she was all business.

A few days later, she was back on stage doing a reader’s theater. Which I was late for due to a 15 minute stop in unexpected road construction, causing me to miss her part by about 2 minutes. 😩 She was still on stage when I got there, and thankfully a friend recorded it and sent it to me, so we watched it later…but STILL. I had all the mom guilt.

And at least I was still able to get her autograph. 😏

She did well! No more hiding for her!
Too cute! Living for the pose. So proud of her!
