The beginning and end of the 2024/2025 school year. 😢
Tessa LOVED second grade. Â She, Grace, and Max all had Mrs. Hagen for 2nd grade and so enjoyed their years in her claas. Â Tessa cried coming out of school on the last day- she wasn’t ready for it to be over.
Grace enjoyed 5th grade, but she was ready for summer vacation and a break from school work!
Max actually really enjoyed his freshman year of high school. Â Doing school work is not his favorite, but he loved the sports and social life.
I am not okay that she will be a SENIOR next year. Â She is not okay about it either and feels like she’d like just one more year of high school.
As I mentioned before, Claire’s shuttle hurdle team made it to state. Â And state happened to start on our last day of school. Â She and her teammates got out at 10 that day, and then headed to Des Moines with their coach. Â I picked up the girls from school and then we all made our way down there to cheer her on.
It was oddly chilly, but then felt nice when the sun came out.
I found Claire before she ran- she was feeling mostly excited, with a little bit of nerves thrown in.
They did amazing, and ran their best time this season. Â They came in 15th place overall, which is pretty fantastic.
We are so proud of how hard she worked this season, and are so excited to see what her senior year brings!
We stayed overnight (Claire stayed with her team) and the following morning the girls and I headed to an indoor play place.
We had so much fun, and even made a little friend.Â
We did a little shopping, ran into Claire and her friends, had lunch, and then headed home. It was a great end-of-school celebration.
We had a very chill Memorial Day, and enjoyed some sunshine.
Tessa had her dance recital and it was so sweet to watch.
She loved performing on that stage, and there’s nothing better than watching your kids do things they love.
What a grand end to the school year! And now for a fun summer!
