May started with a couple of birthdays. Ben turned 45 and my dad turned 70!
My brother found him a trailer for his motorcycle from all us kids, and had it personalized for him. My brother showing up was even a surprise, but I managed to ruin it that day. 🤦🏽♀️
Tess wrapped up the roller skating unit at school, and also started softball practice with hand-me-down gear courtesy of her brother. She at least has a pink glove.
Claire’s home track meet was full of sunshine, friends, and Kona ice.
She’s in a tank top and shorts, I’m in 8 layers.
Our bedroom/bathroom remodel started, and got stripped down to bare bones. We’re currently sleeping in the office for an undisclosed amount of time.
We had a stretch of gloriously hot days, so we enjoyed the first swim of the season.
These four made Mother’s Day pretty sweet. All I asked for was no fighting, but I also got this:
IYKYK.
We had a Sunday school program at church for Mother’s Day, and these girls did a little skit about Naomi. It was so cute and funny, especially Eli/ Tessa asking Naomi if she had been drinking too much wine. 😂
Tessa had her spring concert, and gave me specific instructions to make sure her stuffies could watch the show. They ended up with front row seats.
That same night Claire had her state qualifying meet. Thankfully it was televised, so we could watch her run before and after the concert!
And better yet, her shuttle hurdle team DID qualify for state!
When you sub at the end of the school year, you never really know what you’re going to end up doing. Somehow I did manage to find my kids in this craziness though.
Living their best lives, knowing summer vacation is right around the corner.
What a great start to summer vacay❤️
