The pool and hot tub finally opened and thankfully we still had several warm, sunny days to enjoy them.
And nights too.
But of course we still headed to the beach every day.
My brother Josh booked a sunset boat ride for my dad and Ryan, but there were still a few spots left so Grace, my mom, and I tagged along too.
Did my mom almost get impaled by our captain’s vain attempt to control his new drone? Â She sure did. Â Did we see 100,000 creepy birds oddly swarming a mysterious island? Â Also yes. Â Did Captain Frank somehow mistake a helicopter for a drone? Â Yep. Did we laugh like crazy after this hilarious boat ride? Of course we did. Â As usual, our family somehow attracts craziness wherever we go and this boat ride was no different.
We had Christmas dinner with Ben’s family, and had family pictures done as well. Â It was a beautiful, albeit foggy, evening!
Thought we better take a picture in front of their beach house juuuuuuuuuuuuuust in case another hurricane comes along. 😬
NYE started with football,
involved lots of beaching and gaming,
as well as grilling by headlight and lamplight,
a little swimming,
and ended with an epic fireworks show by the master himself.
We loved all the games,
all the ice cream runs,
and especially all the time spent with family and friends.
Until next year Seaview…
