Saturday was my 41st birthday. We had a plan for the day: we had rented an indoor ice rink for some hockey and ice skating, and a bunch of our friends from church were coming. The six of us were going to go out to eat after that and then just have a relaxing evening at home. When we got to the rink, however, the parking lot was full of cars and the ice rink was full of children. Someone made a mistake and looked at the wrong calendar when booking our event.
So, plan B: everyone came back to our house to try and play hockey on our ice. Which wasn’t exactly in the best shape. But they did manage to play, and friends still came over, and it ended up working out ok.
I have no hockey pictures. But there was hockey.
Claire had been decorating for my birthday all week in our basement, so after everyone left we had a little party down there.
These four were so excited about my birthday, and did everything they could to make it special. 🥰 Mission accomplished.
