We started our Easter festivities at our buddy Maggie’s house…with bunny ears of course. The girls did some crafting, snacking, gaming, and hunting and had such a fun time.
That afternoon we dyed the eggs.
All ready to find their eggs and baskets on Sunday morning. I will 100% continue to hide eggs for Claire and Max until they leave the house. And probably even after that too.
Grandma even hid some Easter goodies outside, and it was so beautiful out! We seem to either have gorgeous weather for Easter or snow. There is no in between.
Grace and Tessa’s cute new Easter dresses got held up in the mail for days, so they didn’t end up arriving on time. They’re both in head to toe hand-me-downs from Claire, which they were just as excited about anyway. Max’s shirt came from his cousin Jacob, and Claire will only wear comfortable things. I feel like dressing for Easter was much easier when they were little.
But that’s all ok, because the REAL reason for Easter is to remember what Jesus did for us:
“When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!”, and bowing his head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:30
“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Matthew 28:6
So thankful for a Savior who paid the ultimate price for my sins, and then conquered death itself!
