The kids head back to school this Wednesday. 😭 I actually feel really sad that it’s here, even though Tessa tells people that I’m happy because I’ll finally have some alone time. 😂🤦🏽♀️ The girl does speak some truth I guess. But in all honesty, I love having them home and wish they could go back to school for just two days a week.
We’ve had a whole lot of busy fun this summer, however, and I’m so thankful for the memories we made.
Claire is the queen of watersports. She would tube/kneeboard/wakeboard/jump off the boat every single day. She also loved having her cousin Anna here for a week, and any day her buddies came over.
She also enjoyed just hanging out in her room and painting with the new easel and paints she got for her birthday or crocheting. Pretty soon her walls are going to be filled with paintings of dogs and oceans and her bed will be covered in crochet creations.
Max has had a fantastic summer.
Well, except for this one particular moment when he and his friends put gas in not one, but two diesel Kubotas. He’ll never make that mistake again. 😉But thankfully they were up and running again in no time, and he and his friends resumed their activities.
Our friends from Australia are here until October, and Max has loved having them around.
He just can’t rough house quite the same with his sisters.
He also finally weighs enough to operate the tractor, so he put in a lot of hours on the farm so he could buy himself a new paint gun. So if you drive by my house and notice blue circles literally everywhereeeeeeee, that’s why.
Grace has been loving the carefree days of summer. She loves staying up late, sleeping in, organizing all the things, creating huge messes in her highly-imaginative games with Tessa, swimming, tubing, river exploring, and jumping off the boat. If it’s happening, she wants in on the action….whatever it is.
Our wild child loves a crazy tube ride.
And she loves being with friends too.
Tessa is a fish. She dives, does front flips and back flips, and swims all over the pool.
She also loves tubing, riding on the jet ski, and decorating rocks for her “rock family”.
And she loves having fancy tea parties with Grace.
Summer, we really, really love you.
