We are really loving and appreciating the weekends again now that the kids are back in school 5 days a week. Before that, every other day sort of felt like a weekend. It feels good to be back on a normal schedule again and truly enjoy the weekends.
Friday night brought cousins! They moved to Colorado in August, and we haven’t seen them since their move. It was a happy reunion.
Claire had horse lessons Saturday morning, and picked up a friend on the way home.
Ben cleared off our ice skating patch in the backyard and the kids wasted no time in getting down there to test it out.
This was, of course, followed by tree climbing/fort making.
After warming up with hot chocolate,
we made a ball pit.
We played games, watched a movie, and enjoyed the fire. Best kind of wintery weekend.
So fun! That ice rink is perfect, especially not having to go on the river 😬
