School started differently for us this year. Well, I mean apart from the very obvious differences that we’re all facing. This is Claire’s first year in middle school. Her first day was earlier than the other two, as their first day consisted of back-to-school conferences. She was nervous, and at the end of the day came out feeling pretty overwhelmed, but was ready to head back again on Friday. While she was at school, the rest of us headed to the elementary school for conferences. 
We met their teachers, dropped off their supplies, talked about the MANY changes happening this year, found lockers/hooks, and realized just how different school is going to look (I also wonder if Grace is going to catch up to Max in height this year😂).
I thought the teachers could probably use some encouragement (and lots of coffee) as this crazy year begins, so I printed off these adorable cards and attached a Starbucks gift card to it. 
The next day everyone had off, then everyone had a virtual day, then on Friday all three had an in-person day. 
We have not had the crazy morning school rush since March 6th, and it’s going to take me us a bit to get back into the swing of things. Which will be hard, because we only need to rush out the door on Tuesdays and Fridays. 🤷🏽♀️
Everyone had a good day, but said it’s all just so different now. And they were BEAT. Here’s praying that everyone stays healthy and things can slowly return to a somewhat normal state at school.

Trust me, one of these days they are going to wind up staying home when they should have been at school. 😲
