Today I’m linking up with Shay and Erika to talk about our weekends. Remember the good old days of normal weekend stuff? Things like enjoying having the kids home from school after a busy week, eating out, heading somewhere fun, enjoying all the normal church activities, and then getting everything ready for a Monday morning? They seem so long ago….
Thankfully Claire has been able to continue horse lessons throughout the quarantine, so our Saturday mornings have remained the same. While she rides, the other kids visit the other horses and play with the family of cats that live there.
The rest of our Saturday is usually spent outside if it’s nice. Our pool was just opened last week, but unfortunately our weather hasn’t been warm enough to use it yet.
Normally most of our Sunday is spent at church, because we have services in the morning and the evening. With Iowa reopening, we have started with just morning services again for those who feel comfortable enough to attend. Gotta take baby steps when acclimating back into the world- it’s tough! Sunday afternoon is spent getting some things done around the house and playing, and then we attend a virtual service in the evening. In our pj’s and hair wraps.Things are certainly far from “normal”, but I sure am thankful for all the relaxed family time we’ve been able to enjoy on the weekends!
