My parents celebrated their 40th anniversary in April. When we were brainstorming something that we could all do together to celebrate this momentous occasion (I am one of SEVEN children…with spouses and grandchildren, there are now 26 of us), my mom mentioned how her dream trip would be to have all of us stay in a big cabin in Tennessee.
So that’s exactly what we did.
One cabin.
26 people.
One cabin.
26 people.
(This was a very fitting sign hanging in the cabin)
We had an AMAZING time.
Our cabin was located in Sevierville, TN, which offers many fun activities.
It’s also very hot. So water activities are good.
Our first activity was to visit “The Sinks” in the Smoky Mountains.
We did some light hiking to get to this beautiful spot that had cliff jumping and swimming.
There were different heights you could jump from into a deep well of refreshing mountain water.
The shallow areas were perfect for the little ones, and they loved playing with the water and rocks.
See branch, will climb.
Monkey see, monkey do.
Made it through cliff jumping with no injuries = successful Day 1.
