We’ve been back from our Thanksgiving trip for over a week now, but in keeping with how my life is lately, I’m just blogging about it now. I don’t know what is going on with me, but I feel so disorganized this holiday season. And now is not the time for disorganization. There are multiple parties, a birthday, all the school concerts/events/dress up days/etc etc etc, church programs, christmas shopping, and just endless to do’s. But we’re powering through, despite my very scattered mind.
So let’s back up to Thanksgiving.
We loved our chill mornings.
We also loved going back to In the Game. Although we all agreed it wasn’t quite as much fun without our gambling Grammy, scoring us thousands of tickets.
Tessa braved the first level of obstacles, but then decided she’d had enough.
Claire had to miss out on the rock wall due to the fact that she had just sprained her ankle…at In the Game. She was running to a game and her ankle just rolled to the side- it actually made her dizzy. Apparently she has weak ankles like her momma. 😬
Most evenings ended with a large scale game of Mario Kart.
Ben and Max woke up bright and early Thanksgiving morning to do a Turkey Trot. The rest of us prepared for Thansgiving by sleeping in and eating french toast.
Later that day we headed to my sister’s in-law’s house for Thanksgiving dinner.
There was great food, lots of football, and plenty of fun for the kids.
Friday was a really nice day, so we enjoyed some outside time,
which even included a boat ride.
Saturday included more morning chill time, and even a karate lesson.
And then we got ready to celebrate the soon-to-be ONE year old!
The absolute sweetest, happiest, grooviest babe.
Kel planned the cutest party, and we had such a fun time!
And then we all fell asleep on the couch. Except they didn’t share much of the blanket.
As usual, we had so much fun and the time went way too fast. And I wish I lived about 18 hours closer.
