It seems I only do life lately posts these days. Because in reality, I’m always trying to catch up on life. Things have been BUSY around here.
The harvest season is in full swing. The weather has been beautiful, and so far everything has been going well. As far as I know.
We’re redoing our floors, so the house has been in quite a state of disarray. The kids really wanted me to keep the sofas in this position. The only problem was, when the sofas were in this position my children were under the impression that they suddenly turned into a trampoline.
The kids always love dressing up for homecoming week. I had every intention of taking pictures of their outfits every day, but this is all I got.
We went to the homecoming parade, and cheered for our very favorite junior high football player. He even saved an Airhead to throw to his sisters.
And parades are always more fun with your buddies.
We’ve been enjoying watching Max’s football games, while Grace and Tess enjoy playing in the “little sisters club”. So far Max’s only injury has been having his wart ripped off during a game.
We love having Grammy and Pop Pop here, and were able to celebrate Grammy’s birthday with her. It was a very casual celebration, but there was cake and that’s all we need.
We’ve still managed to squeeze in some tubing time thanks to the warm weather. The river water, however, is not quite so warm.
I’ve been subbing at the elementary school quite a bit, which has it’s perks: like getting to play with all the forbidden musical instruments when your mom is the music teacher.
I also went on a field trip to a fossil park with Max. Did I also lose Max for about 45 minutes? Yes, yes I did. But thankfully he made it back to the meeting spot in time.
And that’s a little bit of life lately around here.
