January was sickness month. Both Grace and Tessa had the flu, and there were colds and probably strep mixed in there too.
There was also lots of cold weather and no snow.
In other words, 2025 was not off to a great start.
But then we started feeling better and having fun, in spite of the continued single digit temperatures. Tessa had the most action-packed day ever celebrating her friend’s birthday. 
Friends and family came to visit from NJ and we had the best time together.
We didn’t have snow, but we did have a nice backyard hockey rink, which got a lot of use!
We finally got a little bit of snow, and headed back to the igloos to celebrate my birthday.
And some days we enjoyed the perks of having your mom as your sub.
