There’s been a lot of life happening lately, and I haven’t been very good of documenting it. But we’ll do a brief catch up on a few things.
There has been A LOT of track.
Claire and Max pretty much do the same events: shuttle hurdle relay and sprints. They’re both so good at getting over hurdles, which is pretty amazing to me because I’m 99.9% sure I would not be able to get over one and they fly over ten.
The rest of us have been eating lots of popcorn, playing with friends, and trying to stay warm.
Grace and Tessa had their dance recital, with Max and his friend (their dance instructor’s son) as the announcers.
This was their last year with Miss Traci until junior high. They’re going to miss her!
There was also the roller skating unit for PE, which the girls love. I get to skate with Grace and frantically walk behind Tessa ready to catch her in case she falls- because this year she was all about speed.
Claire was inducted into the National Honor Society
which of course made us very proud.
Meanwhile this was what was happening in the back row of the very quiet ceremony….
Before we know it these two will be in NHS and we’ll be reminiscing about the days when they sat in the audience making paper airplanes out of the programs.
We celebrated birthdays
We had friends over on Scout’s birthday, so they made her a piñata, sang to her, and enjoyed ice cream.
They also dressed her up like the queen she is.
Some teaching happened too…in all the different grades.
We had some free time to get out the big toys.
We also loved having Grammy and Pop Pop here for a few weeks and weren’t quite ready for them to leave.
And now we’re counting down the days until summer vacation, which is only TWELVE MORE DAYS! Praise.
