The Zoo

Last week the boys headed to a farm show, so the girls and I (along with a couple of friends) headed to the zoo.

In the days leading up to the zoo, all Tessa kept talking about was seeing a lion. But it was hot day, so I thought for sure the lion would be napping inside somewhere, out of sight.

But he must’ve heard that an excited little girl was coming to see him.

The last time we were here with Maggie was 5 years ago, when she and Grace were 4 years old.

And they’re still best buddies.

We came, we saw all the animals, we ate some water ice, and we headed home. Sweet little summer field trip.
