My sister was due with her second baby on Thanksgiving day. We decided to fly out a little early and stay a little later, hoping we would time it correctly and get some baby snuggles in.
It didn’t exactly work out that way.
Baby girl was perfectly content inside that womb, and didn’t seem too anxious to leave it. BUT, we still had plenty of fun passing the time!
Thanks to insanely long lines at the airport, we came within minutes of missing our flight and had to pull a total Home Alone moment by frantically running to our gate. Thankfully no children were lost in the shuffle, but they are probably scarred for life now and will want to show up 5 hours early for flights like their father.
The next day was beautiful, so we enjoyed some outdoor time and forced my sister to walk 5 miles.
Tess likes to collect things. She hoards rocks, sticks, pinecones, cardboard boxes, and leaves. Especially leaves. She could barely contain herself on this woodsy walk.
Meanwhile, Grayson was “bein a monkey”, and taste testing the leaves.
So many treasures, so little time.
