The town where we go to church has a big fair each summer, which kicks off with a huge parade. This is our 4th year participating in it, and it’s always a great time!
We assemble the float at our church, and then have to make the nerve-wracking 5 minute drive over to where the floats line up. We’re never really sure if everything will remain in place during that drive or if we’re going to show up with a float that looks like it’s been through a war. Thankfully, this one held together pretty well! Which is good, because our theme wouldn’t have been quite as effective with a float that looked like it was falling apart.
We always like walking around and checking out the other floats while we wait- there’s so much creativity!
We were also incredibly thankful to be parked next to extra large machinery- they provided us with lots of much needed shade.
We handed out over 1,000 magnets/invitations/texts and probably 10,000 pieces of candy. Our walkers were hustling, our riders were throwing, and everyone was having fun. ❤️
