My sister celebrated a pretty big milestone birthday on Saturday, so a surprise yard card was in order. The girls set it up at 11 at night, and Kel had no idea they were there. 😂
On Saturday we had a Sunday school picnic, which started out at a super pleasant temperature of 70 degrees and ended with an incredibly hot and humid temperature of 93….which felt like 113.
Remember that surprise visitor on Labor day? It was our adopted son, Jeffrey. ❤️ He hadn’t returned back to El Salvador yet, and we somehow guilted convinced him to come and give a message at our picnic.
We had our own Olympic games, and I was in charge of Sweden. We didn’t win any medals, but some of us became shy during gymnastics, ran away during frisbee, and completely bailed during speed walking. I even managed to hit one athlete in the face with a frisbee. It wasn’t pretty, but they did have fun.
Some competitors were really into their event,
While others just tried to sabotage.
Germany ended up taking the gold. And the rest of us took home sweaty clothes.
So we came home and cooled off.
My parents arrived Saturday night to assist with the harvest season, so that was pretty awesome too.
