We visited our favorite greenhouse before Mother’s Day, and realized most of Iowa decided to visit that day too. It’s an interesting little game to try and weave your way down those long, tiny rows with two carts and a mini cart and about 80 other people. But it’s a good thing we went when we did, because Tess and I went back recently for a few more vegetables and it was basically a ghost town.
But we stopped at another greenhouse on the way home and this flower loving child somehow convinced me we needed more.
She also faithfully watered them until we finally had time (and good weather) to get them planted.
We avoided the backyard for awhile as our deck was being worked on. It’s SO CLOSE to being finished- we’re just waiting on a few more supplies to finish up the railings. But of course the company where said railings are coming from had a covid outbreak, so who even knows when they’ll get in. But we loooooooooove it.
My parents headed out to spend some time with the other sibs and we’ve been missing them!
But Tess managed to sneak in one last “fwing fwing” with Pop Pop.
Some of us have had colds/allergies that cause us to fall asleep right in the middle of the floor,
but thankfully a popsicle and some sunshine make everything better.

Love your sweet little gardeners! I have to say, every time I visit a nursery I want more too!
The deck looks amazing, you’ll have to give me the number of the guy you used.
