My house is in a weird stage right now. I took down my Christmas decorations and dusted, and then didn’t get around to doing any further decorating. I actually kind of enjoy having plain, simple, uncluttered surfaces for a little while after Christmas. Wait, who am I kidding? My kids manage to clutter every surface imaginable.
Anyway, I did add just a few Valentine’s Day touches here and there. My favorite decor for Valentine’s Day, however, will start on February 1st. For the past few years I’ve put a heart on my kids bedroom doors each day, with something I love about them written on it. It’s actually a good activity for all of us- they love to see what I write each day, and I like to have the reminders after they’ve caused me to pull out my hair some days. 😉I just left my red pillows out from Christmas so they can double as Valentine’s Day pillows. #winning Tess decided to make some new decorations too. ❤️

Love the notes on their doors! That is so special. Also, love the HOME sign on your mantle!
