Happy December! This really is the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it? It’s strange not planning for all the parties and school events that usually happen at this time, but there’s still so much fun and enjoyment to be had during the season.
We had a great time in NJ over Thanksgiving. We definitely missed seeing our other family members, but this was a good year to keep the numbers small. The weather was beautiful and we were able to spend a lot of time outside. Which was good, because we spent 16 hours sitting in the car.
The kids had several zoom meetings to attend, so they did them on the road. Thanks, teachers, for keeping them occupied for a bit. 😏
It didn’t take the kids long to test out Uncle Dave’s new hot tub. They gave it their stamp of approval.
The day before Thanksgiving was filled with several fashion shows,
lots of playtime with baby Grayson,
clubhouse hangouts,
soccer,
swinging,
and LOTS of go cart riding in my brother’s crazy fun backyard.
Of course my sister and I did our important job for Thanksgiving as well: heading to the Amish market for desserts and donuts. Somebody’s gotta do it.
That evening we donned our Christmas pj’s and exchanged a few gifts.
Some of us preferred the paper, but it’s fine-we have a judgement-free zone.
Needless to say, it was a pretty fun day.
