When we had our Galentine’s Day party in February I made a snacky charcuterie board for the girls when they got home from school. They were so excited about this simple set up, and thought it was the best thing ever.Just recently I was reading another mom blog and she mentioned making a charcuterie board for her kids for breakfast, which I thought was genius. We’re making several meals a day, each and every day. It gets a little boring, amiright? What easier way to make things a little more fun than throwing a bunch of food on a tray and letting the kids choose what they want to eat? We’ve done it a few times already and my kids LOVE IT. And I love how something so simple makes them so excited. I mean, I’m making the meal anyway so it’s not any extra work on my part. But they think it’s so much fun.
I put together a breakfast board (yet sadly didn’t take a picture of it) which included pancakes, fruit, Nutella, maple syrup and whipped cream. You guys know I would never, EVER, in a million years be able to do something like that on a school day. Like, EVER. But with kids sleeping until 9, I can certainly throw together a pancake board for breakfast. We’ve also had them for lunch a couple times and they are just as big of a hit. And sometimes we even have a picnic in the living room while we enjoy it. These are the littlest things, but they sure help pour excitement into our otherwise boring, daily activities.

I love that idea! I’m a snacker myself, so i can see why this would be so exciting 🙂 Now if only they’d come up with an easier title…

Wait, the word charcuterie doesn’t just roll off your tongue?
