This space serves as our office/craft/toy/electronic area. Grace probably spends the most time in here, as she is constantly coloring and creating. But it’s a nice spot to keep toys for Tessa during the day so she doesn’t need to be in the basement by herself. And she happily plays while I get some computer work done. Right now the window seat is home to the entire kingdom of Arendelle. If we can’t locate Grace, 95% of the time she is sitting right at this table. Just quietly coloring or writing and illustrating an entire book. She also likes to leave subtle reminders on the door for Tessa. These little hanging bins from Ikea are perfect for crayons, markers, and pencils. Side note: When Claire was in kindergarten, her amazing teacher made these laminated sight word rings. When Claire would master one color, she would move on to the next one. It was such a great way for her to learn her sight words, and I’m so glad I kept all of them. I used them with Max, and now Grace is working on them. I store all of the kids’ crafting materials in these binsand use this handy little label maker to keep it all organized. Why are labels so satisfying? Another favorite organizational tool that we’ve had for years is this iPad holder. I love that it hides all the cords inside, and the kids can all plug their iPads here at night. I’ve had this curtain wire from Ikea up for years so the kids can hang their 3,427 pieces of artwork each week. One of my favorite items in the office, however, is this string art that my brother made for me. ❤️

Such a nice multi-use space! Planning to incorporate something like this in our “office” once our new living room is complete 🙂
