Sometimes, there are things on my mama heart that I feel I should share with you as a source of encouragement. Motherhood is hard, and I think we can all do with some encouragement every now and then to remind us that we’re not alone when we feel all the things.
In this day in age, when only the good moments from people’s lives are highlighted, it’s easy to feel like you are failing at motherhood. Everyone else’s kids smile perfectly for pictures, their houses don’t ever seem to be messy, their hair and makeup always seems to be flawless, and their social lives seem to be filled with excitement. I’m just here to remind you that no one’s life is perfect, no matter how perfect their highlight reel may appear. I wear leggings 99% of the time, I almost never blow dry my hair, my window sills and screens are covered in dust, and my kids drive me absolutely crazy when they fight (which seems to be every 10 seconds some days). But it’s ok. I’m not called to be perfect, I’m called to do the best I can do with what God gave me. I will make mistakes, I will get frustrated, but I will also try to do better the next day. I will also enjoy coffee with friends to help my sanity.
Whatever stage of motherhood (or life) you are in, remember that God has use for you IN THAT STAGE. Even when your days seem to be filled with nothing more than changing diapers, doing laundry, and cooking- God is still using you and you are doing important, meaningful, work right where you need to be-leggings, no makeup, messy house and all. ❤️

God always puts something in each day for us to enjoy. I just need to take time to “stop and smell the roses” !
