Apart from three chilly days (and those chilly days fell on perfect days…like, Christmas and when the pool was out of commission), we had absolutely gorgeous weather. Three of my brothers and their families arrived the day after Christmas- and we certainly made the most of the warmth and sunshine.
From shell hunting
to volleyball
and football,
plenty of swimming
and beaching.
There was also lots of ice cream.
We even threw in some peaceful beach yoga and a quiet breakfast,
and the most amazing dolphin excursion.
We watched four dolphins in a wave next to the boat on our way out to Shell Key Island.
Shell Key lived up to it’s name- we came back with bags full of shells (as well as, in Max’s case, a tent stake🤷🏽♀️).
My dad was also pretty sure he could find something on that island that could cure Covid. Our very own Gilligan.
We hopped back on the boat with our treasures, and enjoyed another incredible dolphin show from the back of the boat! They were so close and so playful- it really was amazing.
The very best part? We were able to do all of these fun things with some of our favorite people.
