I have so many pictures from our Florida vacation that I’m not entirely sure how many parts there are going to be. I apologize in advance for the picture overload.
Our Florida vacation this year was one of the best ever. Mostly because we are in the “sweet spot” with our kids ages- and honestly, if I could freeze them all right now I would do it without hesitation. They all had so much fun with their friends, and I think it was especially sweet this year because of all that happened in 2020. They deserved this time of constant carefree fun with friends and family, and they enjoyed it to the fullest.
Ben’s brother and his family (who live in Ireland) had been in Florida, but were leaving early the morning right after we arrived. So even though we were a hot mess after traveling for 12 hours, we did manage to pop over and say hi to them before they went home.
Our first day was our only rainy day, which was ok with me because I needed to unpack and get organized anyway. But that didn’t stop the kids from finding their buddies and checking out the beach, pool, and hot tub. In the rain.
We also took that opportunity to set up our tree and make Christmas cookies.
Each day after that was full of sunshine and many popsicles.
I couldn’t even handle these cute little toothless girls.
We had plenty of volleyball,
lots of beach digging,
night swims,
and time with friends. And that was all before Christmas.
