This past weekend our good friend Jeffrey finally got married. His wedding was originally scheduled for July, but…..#Covid. Jeffrey lives in El Salvador, which is still mostly in lock down, but his bride-to-be lives in Iowa. Which made it easy traveling for us, but slightly more difficult for Jeffrey and his family.
We first met Jeffrey waaaaaaaaaay back in 2003 when he was 11 years old. His family (who are missionaries in El Salvador) lived in Iowa for almost a year. During that time, they became like family.
There’s little Jeffrey, and my sister just doing her thing (sorry, Kel- but it was too funny not to share๐).
Jeffrey then came back to Iowa for college and lived with us for awhile.
Needless to say, he has a very special place in our hearts and we couldn’t be happier for him.
Ben was so honored (and extremely nervous) when Jeffrey asked him to officiate their wedding. No, Ben has never officiated a wedding before. But apparently Jeffrey had faith in him. I, on the other hand, was just a lot a tiny bit nervous. But he did an incredible job and I feel like he could easily turn this into a side gig. ๐
There was one person in particular who was in our thoughts all day, and whose presence was missed beyond measure.
Jeffrey’s amazing mom, Corina, went home to heaven 3 years ago, and she would have loved this day.
Jeffrey and his dad walked down the aisle with a bouquet of flowers in honor of Corina, which sat on the chair next to Craig. ๐
Caitlin looked gorgeous, and I don’t think Jeffrey could stop smiling.
While pictures were being taken, we kept busy by…
warming up by the fire,
running and rolling in the grass (if your name was Max or Grace)
and laughing at Jeffrey’s brother Steven’s personalized notes on the back of the table numbers. His table descriptions were pretty accurate. And humorous- although members of the “Only invited for the gifts” table might disagree. ๐
It really was a sweet day, and we are so thankful to have this special family in our lives.
Thanks for letting us share in your special day, Jeffrey and Caitlin! โค๏ธ

IS THAT THE ONLY PICTURE YOU COULD FIND?
Although, itโs my fault, for being so weird.
What a beautiful day!
