We’re full-blown Christmas over here, so I had better document the rest of our fall happenings.
We carved pumpkins that we grew in our very own little pumpkin patch. Except for Claire’s giant pumpkin- we didn’t grow him, but we’re hoping to next year. So far, however, we’ve only been successful at growing long, skinny pumpkins so I’m not getting my hopes up too high.
We had gorgeous weather for our church’s fall festival- but we had a few leaves to take care of first. Thankfully this group we hired for the job was cheap.
Later that week was Halloween, starting with the school parade.
Since we bought it, Tessa has slept with that costume in her bed, brought it downstairs every morning to sit at the kitchen counter, then hauled it back up to her bed each night. It’s been well loved.
Grace went with the group costume for school, but opted for a more comfortable one for trick or treating.
Also, I was down to only two trick or treaters this year. 😭
We had been having such warm, mild weather until Halloween night when it decided to blast us with a taste of winter at 40*. 🥶
We got home, checked out the candy stash, and thawed out our frozen toes.
Also, this was me. On a Friday. In a Pre-K classroom. Needless to say, it was certainly eventful.

Love those “skinny pumpkins”!! But the faces the kids made were great!
