My sister sent this yesterday morning, and I absolutely love it.
We live in a society where we are constantly bombarded with perfect pictures. Immaculate, exquisitely decorated homes. Filtered faces to erase imperfections. Magazine worthy food dishes. Constantly happy, well-dressed children. It gives us this unattainable, unrealistic goal of having perfect lives all the time, and leaves us feeling like a failure when we can’t reach those goals.
But that’s so far from the goals God has set for us. God’s goals are simple: to accept the gift of His son, and to love and serve Him. We can do this in many different ways, at different stages of our lives. As a mom with young children, sometimes you feel like you can’t serve well in between diaper changes and toddler tantrums. But you’re serving Him just by doing those sometimes seemingly mundane motherhood tasks. You are caring for the children that God has entrusted into your care. As a working mom trying to balance all the things, it can feel like you can’t serve well. But by being an example to your kids and to those at work you are serving Him. The ways in which you serve God will be different than other’s, because we all are in different stages of our lives and have different personalities, therefore we have different ways to give. But God knows this, and accepts any kind of service at any stage of life. He just wants our hearts, which we can offer no matter what stage we’re in. ❤️
“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17

Love it! Just thinking if we quit so many of these maybe we will hear His still small voice speaking to us!
