What we’re eating this week:
M-Burgers & hot dogs T- Homemade mac n cheese W- My Mother-in-law’s cooking tonight! Th- Grilled chicken legs F- Steak kabobs S- Pizza
What I’m reminiscing about:
Next week we’ll be celebrating this girl’s SEVENTH birthday. I’m not ok. Last year she was totally in her Encanto era.
What I’m loving:
We got our driveway paved several weeks ago and we are all loving it.
What we’ve been up to:
Swimming, sprinklers and snacks.
What I’m dreading:
Nothing….it’s summer!
What I’m excited about:
Claire has been asking for a dog for many years, and saving up her own money to buy one. Well, the day is finally here and I feel like we’re all at a point where we can handle a dog. She very excitedly picked out her puppy, which will be ready to come home when we return from vacation in July. So Claire will have the rest of the summer to train the puppy before school starts. She is SO, SO unbelievably happy, and I’m excited for her. And the puppy is pretty stinking cute.
What I’m watching/reading:
Ben and I are all caught up on Chicago Fire, so we’re back to Chicago Med. Next up will be PD.
I started reading this book when I was subbing in 5/6 grade (because they were reading it), and I got hooked so I kept reading it when I got home. I’m just about finished.
What I’m listening to:
The kids and I have a special playlist we listen to at the pool, all day every day.
What I’m wearing:
I got this bathing suit last year and wore it pretty much every day, so I also bought it in navy. It’s so comfortable- feels like a comfy sports bra and flowy tank top and I never mind being in it all day long.
What we’re doing this weekend:
It’s going to be 90…so swimming will be involved. We’ll also be getting ready for some visitors!
What I’m looking forward to next month:
We’re celebrating Tessa’s birthday (she’s currently obsessed with chickens, and we actually have eggs in an incubator praying they hatch in time for her party. For real. And those chickens will go back to the lady who loaned us the incubator because I am not a chicken lady). We also have visitors coming to see us, and we’ll be going to one of our favorite places ever: Ocean City. It’s a super fun and super busy month!
