Claire’s birthday was pretty low-key this year. Her birthday fell on a busy Sunday, but we wanted to celebrate early anyway while my mom and Kel were here.
Claire is very into the Avengers right now, with Captain America being her favorite by far. So, that was the theme she chose for her birthday. We threw up some pretty balloons and a shiny blue background, ordered a Captain America themed ice cream cake, had emoji Avengers plates and napkins, and called it good.
And she was thrilled.
And what’s an Avengers party without dressing up like the Avengers? That baby Hulk tho….
Grace and Tessa’s gifts were probably our favorites. Grace gave Claire a horse barn and horses that she had taken from Claire during one of Claire’s purges. She decided to return them to her for her birthday. Meanwhile, Tessa used an entire roll of tape and multiple pieces of wrapping paper to wrap her (rather small) present for Claire. It was good entertainment.
This was, of course, followed up with one of Claire’s absolute favorite activities:
The following weekend Claire celebrated with a sleepover with her two best buddies.
I didn’t get many pictures, but they did all their favorite things: making goofy videos, eating all the snacks, staying up late, and doing lots of swimming and tubing.
And it was all exactly how Claire wanted to spend her birthday. 💙
