Grace and Tessa had their spring dance recital this past weekend. I wasn’t really sure how Tess would do performing in front of a crowd, but she surprised us all and killed it.
But first, my trusty balloon assistant and I were on balloon decor duty.
We even had a stamp of approval from a gymnast and a mermaid.
Claire and I set up the balloons while the girls were rehearsing.
Thankfully Grace had to be at rehearsals earlier because we didn’t have room for her in the car.
The big day! Full of glam, excitement and nerves.
But thankfully friends are good for calming nerves.
As are supportive brothers sitting in the stands, happy to be watching their little sisters dance. And yes, Max is forever leaving the house with his pants tucked into his socks. π
I could watch these little girls dance for daysssss. Tess had to miss the winter recital (which is when they wore their tutu costumes) because she still had her drains in- so we especially loved watching her dance her little heart out, drain free and pain free.
Grace was SO excited to do a pom routine. And don’t let the forced smile fool you- she loved every second of this dance.
The video doesn’t do this performance justice- it was so much fun to watch! Each class had a separate light, and it all came together so well.
My favorite part was later that evening. Grace, our resident perfectionist, was so proud of her dances and said to me, “I just have this really good feeling all over. I don’t know what it is, but I think I’m just really, really proud of myself.” And I absolutely love watching her feel proud of herself. π
