Our New Year’s was sweet and simple this year- and also loud and chaotic. Exactly how it’s supposed to be when your kids reach the age when they want to stay up until midnight, right? We ate Carrabba’s poolside, followed by some night swimming, followed by crafts and puzzles, all while enjoying several fireworks displays from our balcony.
Tess and I were ready to bid farewell to 2020.
Tessa does not like loud noises, but she loves watching the fireworks. The headphones worked perfectly until….
Uncle Josh’s crazy fireworks extravaganza right in front of our condo.
The headphones didn’t stand a chance.
We calmed her down with some cotton candy sparkling juice and her own personal controlled noisemaker.
The later bedtime allowed us Grammy to finally finish this ridiculously hard puzzle. Which we glued and brought back home, so we never have to waste countless hours of our lives putting it together again.
After what seemed like an eternity, it was finally midnight and we all rang in the new year on the balcony as more fireworks were blasted into the sky (Thankfully Tess was in her bed this time around).
It was a good night. ❤️
And that’s a wrap on Florida 2020! We’re already looking forward to next year-especially this crazy group of growing boys. 😏
