Happy Monday! I can’t believe it’s November. That’s full on Christmas mode to me- which means all the fall stuff is coming down and things are getting cleaned and prepped for Christmas decor. 🙌🏼 But first, I need to share our crazy, fun weekend….
Several weeks ago, Claire decided that she wanted to have a Halloween party for us. She researched foods and games, put up the decorations, and even gave me a list (and money) to go shopping for her supplies. The kids didn’t have school on Friday, so we thought that would be the perfect day for a party (please note her food prepping and Facetiming her sweet cousin like a little teenager).
Pumpkin carving was first. The kids decided to skip the detailed, intricate designs that we usually do and just make simple jack o’ lantern faces. I fully supported that decision.
Claire had all kinds of crafting for games and decorations, and two more-than-willing helpers.
Even my wrinkly curtains played a part: Claire took out the knot they were in because she thought they looked spooky. I would have to agree- those wrinkles would scare anyone.
We ate spaghetti and meatballs and all of Claire’s spooky fruit creations, and then moved on to the activities.
Things like digging through cold spaghetti for gummi bears and playing pin-the-face-on-the-pumpkin.
While Max, Grandma, and I tried to answer some Halloween riddles,
Claire helped Grace and Tessa make pumpkin faces.
There was also a race to unwrap a ghost lolipop.
We ended the party with some monster cake balls and balloon craziness.
My mini party planner loved getting everything ready for this sweet little party, and everyone had a good time. And lucky for me, Grace loves to clean, so they are a fantastic duo. 😏

Sweetest party ever! She gets her party planning skills from her momma, and how convenient to have Gracie the clean up girl! Good job, Claire!
