HEY HEY! Sorry I’ve been MIA from the blogging world…this little thing called life just kinda got in the way. Things have been busy but fun over here, and I’m happy to be back to blogging about it all.
My mom came to visit, so we decided to take her to our favorite fall destination: Center Grove Orchard.
It was a gorgeous day- and it felt so good to be able to enjoy “normal” things again.
This is an accurate description for how Max feels about learning…
and what he’d rather do instead.
The sunflowers were blooming late this year, so we were able to cut some to take home (usually they’re finished by the time we visit the orchard). And although the process took much, much, much a little longer than anticipated due to the orchard being severely understaffed, it was worth it. The girls loved picking their own blooms to take to their teachers the following day. I feel like teachers need all the encouragement they can get these days.
The kids picked their pumpkins, and we made our way through the busy store with sunflowers, pumpkins, apple cider, donuts, pie, fudge, and caramels in tow. And then treated ourselves to apple cider slushies for not leaving any kids behind. It was a good day.
