What we’re eating this week:
M- Burgers
T- Pizza
W- Enchiladas
Th- Grilled chicken
F- Steak
What I’m reminiscing about:
This time last year we were enjoying birthday parties with friends, watching baseball games, eating at restaurants at the Mall of America, and hosting bridal showers. Ahhhh, the good old days.
What I’m loving:
The elliptical workout series on iFit. Every day is different, and I love how she manages to work every single muscle. I actually look forward to these workouts in the morning!
What we’ve been up to:
The usual: school work, recess, cleaning, PE, laundry, art, cooking, etc. etc. etc.
What I’m working on:
All of the above.
What I’m dreading:
At some point I need to go back out into the public (I haven’t been inside a store for 7 weeks). As much as I miss wandering around Target, I’ve actually enjoyed being inside the safe little bubble that is my home. But at some point I will need to venture out into the unknown.
What I’m excited about:
Certain parts of Iowa are having some restrictions lifted, so I’m seeing my hairdresser on Tuesday! PRAISE.
What I’m watching/reading:
Ben and I are still watching NCIS, but we’ve also tried getting in a movie here and there. We really liked Ford vs Ferrari. With no school, however, the kids have been going to bed later and we are definitely this old: As for reading, I’m enjoying some 4th grade literature these days.
What I’m listening to:
4 kids talking. All day, err day.
What I’m wearing:
We’re in the season of shorts and sweatshirts, and I bought several pairs of these shorts last year and love them. They’re so soft and comfortable, which is exactly my style.
I love all the tie dye right now, and have been wearing this sweatshirt on repeat. It’s perfect for this time of year- not too hot, but great for chilly mornings and evenings.
What I’m doing this weekend:
Friday Ben turns the big 4-0, so we’ll be celebrating him! And doing the same things we’ve been doing for the past 6 weeks.
What I’m looking forward to next month:
Visiting our favorite greenhouse to get allllllllllll the pretty flowers and plants.

Extremely jealous your hairdresser is open!!! maybe some day NC will open back uo again?
jillemccandless says
Right?? I’m not ready to venture out into the real world just yet, but thankfully it’s just me and my hairdresser in her salon and she assured me she’ll be taking lots of precautions! CAN. NOT. WAIT. Hopefully parts of NC can open up soon!

Where are the shorts from? I am trying to stock up on some cute and comfy/stretchy options for this summer! 🙂
jillemccandless says
Sorry, they were supposed to be linked! I added the link now. Those shorts would seriously be so perfect for post baby comfort!
Kelly Procopio says
Ohhh would you look at that, they’re 30% off until Saturday.

I’m so excited I was able to get pansies for the spring and my garden centre said they’d have annuals by Mother’s Day! Whoo hooo!!!
Also how you have not been to a store in SEVEN weeks?!?!? I am the one doing our weekly grocery shopping so I have no choice…
jillemccandless says
Crazy, right?! My husband has been doing the grocery shopping, or I have just done curbside pick up. I’m somewhat tempted to see just how long I can go without actually stepping into a store…
