What we’re eating this week:
It’s a busy week at our household, so we’re eating all the quick, easy, one dish dinners.
What I’m reminiscing about:
A few mommas I follow on IG went to Disneyworld and a Disney cruise last week and it was making me reminisce about our Disney trips. They really are amazing and some of my most favorite memories. The kids don’t know this yet, but we’re heading out on another Disney cruise next February. It’s a year away, but I’m already excited about it.
What I’m loving:
Grocery pick up. Because 9 degrees is just too stinking cold to get out of your car for any reason. Also, it’s such a time saver and that’s what I’ve been needing these days.
What we’ve been up to:
This week we have Kids Bible Hour each evening- and we were on duty to set it up and get things ready. The kids love this week!
What I’m working on:
Still trying to finish up Tessa’s room. It’ll happen one day.
What I’m dreading:
It has already started happening: the snow melts off the gravel road that we live on and all of a sudden there’s mud everywhere and my car is dirty all the time. And I really, really, really do not like when my car is dirty. Which is not a great personality trait for a person who lives on a gravel road.
What I’m excited about:
Working on my sister’s baby shower that’s happening in just a couple weeks! We can’t wait to celebrate with her and be with family.
What I’m watching/reading:
With Claire and Max being so into hockey, we’ve been watching the Mighty Ducks movies with them. I loved these movies when I was younger- and they’re still just as cute and funny. Other family favorites includeDude Perfect (our absolute favorite) and more recently,Lego Masters.
What I’m listening to:
A friend recommended this podcast and I have really been enjoying it. There’s a lot of challenging and encouraging thoughts on motherhood with a Christ-centered approach.
What I’m wearing:
This has been my favorite dress this season. It’s so comfortable I just love the sleeves.
Also, it’s still really cold in Iowa, so my winter wardrobe continues to go strong.
What I’m doing this weekend:
More horses for Claire, and Grace is going to begin piano lessons.
What I’m looking forward to next month:
The girls and I are heading back to the Boston area to stay with my sister and her husband for 6 days! Since our visit there last summer, they moved into a new house that they are fixing up and as mentioned above, are expecting their first baby. So we’re excited to see baby boy’s nursery and spend some time together!

Oh how fun!!! I love how the DIsney cruise feels like a vacation for Mom too…no need to worry about anything, it’s all done for you! Just relax and enjoy your family. ❤️ That’s my favorite! We are heading to the Bahamas in February. 😊
