We hosted three parties this season: one adult party, one teen/young adult party, and one little favorite things party.
It was definitely a busy week, but I loved each and every event.
Both the adult party and the teen parties started with dinner, and then moved on to competitive games. Because nothings says “Christmas cheer” quite like some good old fashioned intense competition. Although we decided to take a break from dressing up this year, all of the games followed the “12 days of Christmas”. The pear trees are pictured above. There was also a turtle dove stackhitting a hen’s egg with a French loaf,
bird calls,rings being tossed,
eggs being laid, swimming swans, maids and milk duds, pipe cleaner chains, leaping ping pong balls, and other crazy games that I didn’t take pictures of. There was also the extremely intense box game, which did result in an injury with the teen crowd (sorry Ava😬). These parties are so full of fun and laughter and we look forward to them every year! Next was a sweet little favorite things party with some special friends. We ate a LOT of delicious food, laughed about our very random favorite things, decorated gingerbread houses the way that we wanted, and talked about and exchanged our favorite items. It was so much fun, and definitely an event that needs to be added to the calendar each year. We are so thankful for friends and family who come to our house and allow us to laugh at with them. They are such good sports, and make these events so fun and memorable!
