Last week brought some record breaking cold temperatures. The kids only went to school on Friday, and it was too cold to play outside. So, what did we do?
As I mentioned before, we had kids bible hour at church each night. Ben’s cousin came to visit and had lessons about Jonah. One night even included a massive whale with “Jonah” inside.
The kids LOVED it.
He was so full of energy and had constant visuals for the kids to look at- it was amazing! Our kids were so sad when the week was over.
He also had fish- and we ended up coming home with 2. 🙄 Grace named hers “Fishy dishy” and Max named his “Josiah”. Unfortunately, both fish are still very actively swimming around in their bowl.
Claire and Max each brought a friend to bible hour every night, and those friends also came over to play one day. There was a whole lot of games, legos, nerf wars, and forts going on that day.
And then on snow day #4 the bounce house came out.
We also watched movies,
played battleship,
and made cookies and cupcakes.
So while it was fun to be all warm and cozy inside while the wind howled outside, I’m hoping we don’t see -50 degrees again.
